And all of the Aegis Bio's internal componentry is protected from physical tampering with a layer of hardened epoxy, and the firmware is locked down which prevents any modifications, making it immune to malware attacks such as BadUSB.

The fingerprint sensor uses an Advanced live layer imaging technology to provide the most accurate fingerprint image possible by way of a patented dual-plate active pixel design. While other biometric drives use a CD emulation module or software on the host system for fingerprint enrollment, the Aegis Bio involves no software, enabling it to be used on any USB host regardless of its OS.
