The ESC4000 G3 supports up to eight PCI-E Gen3 x16 slots in 2U for high density computing and high expandability, compatible with versatile expansion cards, especially in supporting up-to-date Intel Xeon Phi series, NVIDIA Tesla and GRID Family, as well as AMD FirePro S Series of GPU accelerators. Initially, high-density computing is designed specifically to pack greater processing power into a rack. In ESC4000 G3, it can carry up to 4 double-deck GPUs offering extreme high density and parallel computing power. In addition, there is also one PCI-E Gen3 x 24 slot which could perform as two slots if riser is applied for Low Profile HBA & proprietary networking cards in FDR and 10G interface.
With intelligent system fan III, independent smart fans provide cooling for each area of the GPU and CPU separately, and a redundant fan design for GPU area provides an extra thermal back-up solution. Intelligent system fan III offers dedicated airflow toward CPUs and GPUs as well as offering flexibility in fan allocation. Additionally, adjustable CPU fan duty in BIOS setting enables the user to configure a preferable system fan settings accommodating to different scenarios.
The ESC4000 G3 is equipped with a 2000W/1620W 80 PLUS Platinum level redundant power supply with VR power efficiency up to 95% for energy savings, while the hot swappable design reduces power loss, improves power efficiency and saves more TCO for users.
ESC4000 G3 has a visible Q-Code/port 80 LED display LED for simple monitoring of the entire boot process, from the early hardware-awakening stages to the launch of the operating system and beyond. With the features of quick initialization guidance of BIOS, users can realize system initialization state in seconds; furthermore users are able to diagnose system instantly through POST code message in the POST stage. The rear power, button, location/HDD Active LED let the users check the server’s status easily which saves time and effort. Also, the exclusive tool-less rail kit design helps the user to deploy the servers in an easy and simple way.
The ESC4000 G3 supports the optional ASUS PIKE II upgrade kit. Just placing the PIKE II card, such as PIKE II 3x08 series, the latest 12Gb/s SAS and PCI-E 3.0 high reliability enterprise storage solution, ESC4000 G3 can immediately expand bandwidth and offer complete RAID functions, upgrade to 12G solution and improve the performance, making it the great upgrade option.
The ASMB8-iKVM (IPMI 2.0-compliant) enables remote update BIOS, standalone KVM/Java utility, video recording and BSOD capture. Based on out-of-band management, even if the server operating system is down or offline, the KVM module can still provide round-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnosis through a user-friendly web-based graphical interface via all major browsers. In addition, ASWM Enterprise software provides one-to-multiple centralized management including BIOS flash, software dispatch, task scheduler, remote control, and power control, all through a colorful and informative graphical interface. Through ASUS remote management solution, user could save time and effort on server management and trouble-shooting.
