Each Mecanum Wheel contains twelves rollers, enabling the S1 to move forward, backward, sideways, and to translate and rotate.
A two-shot injection molding process was adopted to make the Mecanum Wheel rollers, giving the rollers advanced tractions while retaining rigidity. The hard rubber of the rollers is made of high-strength, impact-resistant, and self-lubricating POM materials, and the soft rubber was made of wear-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), ensuring stable and reliable movements of the RoboMaster S1.
Damping rings are embedded in the wheels to absorb impacts and collisions during movement, ensuring stable video feedback and protecting the structure of the S1.
